Sterling has proven hands-on program leadership experience for Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and entrepreneurial companies.  She is the go to project champion with a track record of delivering successful technical and commercial projects that capture cost savings, ensure value-added results, and exceed client expectations.  Sterling also has served as a relationship building program manager for full IT product development lifecycle and integration of infrastructures and network communications.  Sterling is consistently recognized as accessible and customer-centric.  She is a member in good standing in the Project Management Institute and is the former member and Vice-President of the Professional Women of SBC organization.

ENTREPRENEUR

Sterling founded and currently operates an independent contracting company managing multiple and simultaneous subcontract projects that includes 24/7 availability as well as short deadline projects.  She delivers projects on time or ahead of schedule while meeting contractor performance objectives.  Sterling has developed and implemented cost savings for contractors and consistently met financial incentives.

MANAGEMENT

●  Served as Associate Director of financial reporting for a $12.5 billion capital budget.

●  Advised on best practices to achieve budget acceptance of new initiatives.

●  Recovered millions of dollars in refunds from fraudulent overcharges from double and triple billing by vendors that occurred over multiple years while simultaneously maintaining positive vendor relations.

●  Planned and managed technical and commercial coordination of product segment design/product development for complex voice and data communications systems.

●  Overall management responsibility for projects teams of 35-50 managers and professional team members.

●  Directed all aspects from inception to contract completion including proposal, product definition design, development, customer reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and final deliveries.

●  Serves as primary technical customer contact and collaborates with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.

●  Minimizes program risk and controlled recurring and nonrecurring costs while meeting contract demands.

●  Closely monitors and manages critical project milestones while maintaining implementation timelines.

●  Independently managed successful infrastructure and systems integration of purchased companies and trained 4000 staff corporate-wide on the new system.

●  Delivered mission critical results on multimillion dollar technical and commercial projects.
